    Gary C. Nelson, Senior Managing Director

    Mr. Nelson has been a Director, President & Chief Executive Officer of both publicly traded and privately held companies. In these roles, Mr. Nelson led these organizations from start up through successful initial public offerings. He has also had significant experience with debt and securitized transactions.

    Some of Mr. Nelson's companies were listed on NASDAQ and operated locations from coast to coast and five foreign countries. Mr. Nelson has also led a series of private placement debt and equity transactions on behalf of his own companies and those of clients.

    Mr. Nelson began his career with Phillips Petroleum, where he spent thirteen years in various management positions, including Vice President of Marketing.

    Mr. Nelson provides GCG's clients extensive experience in executive management, finance, marketing, investment banking, and mergers and acquisitions enabling him to quickly and thoroughly understand a client's needs. He has worked closely for many years with institutional investors and investment banking firms throughout the world.

    Jeffrey D. Miller, Managing Director

    Mr. Miller began his career with Union Pacific Corporation and has held senior management positions in a variety of finance roles in both public and private companies for over twenty years. His positions have included Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer, and he has structured and participated in successful IPO's.

    Mr. Miller has expertise in structuring business plans and leading fund raising efforts for mid-cap to early stage companies. He has extensive experience in software, manufacturing, transportation, energy and supply chain businesses ranging from Fortune 100 companies to early stage ventures.

    Mr. Miller has a bachelors degree in Accounting from Iowa State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business, Texas Christian University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the AICPA.

    Jimmy Villalobos, Managing Director

    Mr. Villalobos has over 30 years experience in the areas of Investment Banking, Management, and acting as Chief Executive Officer. Past positions include CEO of U.S. Securities Clearing Corp., CEO of Mesa Securities Corp. and Sales Manager for the Southwestern Company.

    Mr. Villalobos has worked extensively with multinational brokerage firms in syndicating underwritings and has guided dozens of companies in the capital formation process as well as going public.

    He is a member of National Investment Bankers Accociation (NIBA), the Southern California Investors Association (SCIA) and a founding partner of SuperLab in San Diego, California.

    Christine Begovich, Director

    Ms. Begovich has more than twenty five years in banking and finance, holding senior financial management and business development positions in both national banks and international companies, including Union Bank, Sanwa Bank and Wickland Oil Corporation. She brings expertise to GCG in the areas of loan syndication and debt restructure, oil and gas, real estate, waste management, manufacturing, and new product development.

    She has also served as a business consultant to a variety of midmarket companies providing strategic and financial modeling, business development training, and management assessment.

    Ms. Begovich holds a B.S. degree from University of Iowa in Economics and Psychology, and has served as President and board member of numerous Sacramento nonprofit, charitable agencies.

    William L. Hoffman, Managing Director

    Mr. Hoffman has over 30 years experience in business planning, implementation, and operations with a wide range of startups and ongoing businesses. He has prepared hundreds of business plans for external funding and internal planning. External purposes have included private investor, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, public funding, as well as credit and bank loans. Internal purposes have included strategic planning, financial statements, budgeting, cash flow, operational planning, sales forecasting, financial modeling, and analysis.

    He has worked with private and public companies in the service, technology, and manufacturing sectors. He also held numerous management positions in finance, manufacturing, operations, new product development, materials management and logistics, as well as company-wide computer systems design and implementation.

    Mr. Hoffman holds a Bachelors Degree in Business from San Diego State University, a Masters Degree in Business from San Diego State and West Coast University, as well as a Law Degree from Western State University. He is a member of the San Diego Venture Group, board advisor to a number of organizations, and has received numerous awards, certificates, and recognition in a wide variety of fields.

    Marc Bercoon, Director

    Mr. Bercoon began his career as a real estate and corporate transactions attorney with a major Chicago law firm, and has held the position of general counsel at a national shopping center management and development company; a publicly traded department store company; and a 600 store retail auto parts chain. More recently, Marc served as an executive officer for a privately owned billion-dollar real estate portfolio and as an executive officer for a private investment company with over $5 billion in assets under management. Marc is also a director of Mixson Corp. a manufacturer of public safety and law enforcement products, and Vision Building Solutions, L.L.C. a dealer in the modular building industry and licensed general contracting firm with four offices throughout Florida.

    Marc brings to GCG experience in finance, operations, and structuring transactions. Marc's background includes significant work with many high net worth entrepreneurs, start-ups, turnarounds and both large and small public and private entities. This experience has proven beneficial to many of our clients.

    Marc holds a B.S. degree in accountancy with high honors from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) and a J.D. from the University of California- Los Angeles School of Law. He is a member of the Illinois Bar and is a Certified Public Accountant.

    Malcolm Finlayson, Ph.D., Bio Medical Advisor

    Dr. Finlayson has more than 15 years experience in the identification, acquisition and commercial development of life sciences products and services. He has an extensive background in business development, technology assessment, licensing, and intellectual property management.

    He has worked for both privately and publicly held corporations, from start up through successful IPO. Dr. Finlayson has held senior scientific and executive positions at the Mycogen Corporation, Invitrogen Corporation, and NCE Pharmaceuticals. These positions include: Director of Research and Development, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Division President. He has also served on several boards as a director.

    Dr. Finlayson consults for many technology firms and venture capital funds to identify, analyze, and position potential investments. Dr. Finlayson has helped many of our clients through his contacts in both the business and scientific communities.

    Dr. Finlayson received his doctorate in pharmacology from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada). He conducted his post-doctorate research at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation (La Jolla, CA) where he advanced his knowledge of immunology and molecular biology.

    Andrew Kneeter, Research Analyst

    Mr. Kneeter has more than 20 years experience in the Investment Community. His focus has been primarily in research and analysis.

    Mr. Kneeter has worked in senior management positions with Round Hill Asset Management, Ruane Cunniff/Sequoia Fund NYC, Plaza Investment Managers (GEICO's investment subsidiary, and core investment holdings of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway), and served as President and CEO of Medical Care Corporation ‚a company that develops and markets tools for managing Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias.

    Some of Mr. Kneeter's expertise in research and analysis includes Healthcare, Consumer Products, Retail, Insurance, Financial Services, Municipality Capital Goods , Food & Tobacco Products, Restaurants, Technology/Internet, Infrastructure and Wireless Applications.

    Mr. Kneeter's experience in researching and analyzing various industries and companies is essential to the success of GCG and our clients. The research and analysis allows us to evaluate perspective client's projects, and provides the necessary insight into markets they are attempting to enter.

    Andrew holds a B.S. and MBA degree from Drake University of Iowa.
